Optometrist
Dr. Stern-Green is a self-described eye nerd — and she wants you to be one too. Her favorite part of any appointment is the moment a patient says "wow, I didn't know that about my eyes." She believes that when patients truly understand what's happening with their vision, they feel more confident and more in control of their care.
Originally from the DC area (the other Washington), Dr. Stern-Green earned her Doctor of Optometry summa cum laude from The Ohio State University, along with a Master's degree in Vision Science. Her Master's research studied structural changes to the retina following multiple concussions, and she's presented her work at national conferences. She completed an ocular disease residency at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland, with specialty training in retinal disease, dry eye, medically indicated contact lenses, and emergency eye care. She also works closely with Dr. Dale on pre- and post-operative care for cataract surgery patients.
Fun fact: Dr. Stern-Green played Division I field hockey at the University of Virginia and won an ACC championship in 2016. She's relatively new to the Pacific Northwest and is always looking for great hike and paddleboard recommendations.
