Arbor Eyecare is Independent and Locally Owned

Arbor Eyecare is an independent, locally owned practice — not a VSP chain location. That means we accept your VSP benefits, but you also have access to our full selection of frames and lenses, including brands and options you won’t find at chain retailers. Your VSP allowance applies toward anything in our optical, and our team can help you get the most out of your benefits. We share this option because we think it’s genuinely helpful — but eligibility, pricing, and what’s covered are entirely between you and VSP.

Is a VSP individual plan right for you?

A lot of people assume that if their employer doesn’t offer vision insurance, they’re out of luck. That’s not the case. This might be a good fit if:

  • Your employer doesn’t offer vision insurance
  • You’re retired and no longer have the vision coverage you had through work
  • You’re self-employed or a freelancer
  • Your health plan doesn’t include routine vision coverage (this is common with Medicare and high-deductible plans)
  • You just want a simple way to budget for your family’s eye care

If any of these sound familiar, a VSP plan is worth a look. It takes a few minutes to enroll, and you can start using your benefits right away at any of our three locations.

What’s included in a VSP plan?

VSP plans are designed to cover the eye care most people need every year. Here’s a quick look at what’s typically included:

Eye exams

Annual comprehensive vision exam covered — the same thorough exam we do for all our patients.

Glasses

Allowance toward frames and lenses, plus discounts on upgrades like anti-reflective coating and progressive lenses.

Contact lenses

Allowance toward contacts as an alternative to glasses, so you can choose what works best for your lifestyle.

Discounts

Additional savings on lens upgrades, extra pairs, and even sunglasses — on top of your core benefits.

Exact coverage depends on the plan you choose. VSP offers several tiers — you can compare options and pricing when you enroll.

Getting started is easy

  1. Enroll online. Visit the VSP enrollment page and choose the plan that fits your needs. It takes about 5 minutes.
  2. Get your card. You’ll receive your VSP member information. You can use your benefits right away.
  3. Schedule your visit. Call us at 425.831.2020 or book online. Let us know you have VSP when you schedule, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Prefer to pay out of pocket?

That’s completely fine. We welcome self-pay patients and offer fair, transparent pricing. VSP can save you money on glasses and contacts — but it’s not required to be our patient.
